Since his childhhod Rémi Jacques has been drawn to the stage. Starting from a very young age, he began training in dance, theater and visual arts.
Rémi's desire to work in the world of performance art caused him to seek out other form of art which he could incoporate into his performances.
As a direct result of this he recieved a diploma in Literature and Theatre, at Marie-Victorin CEGEP
followed by a second diploma in Visual Arts (mixed with a college degree in scenography). After this, to further his education,
he studied acting at L’École Supérieure de Théâtre du Canada. Upon his graduation, he was hired as a perfomrer with Dynamo Theatre, an acrobatic theater company, for four years.
Rémi is the founder of the troupe Les Foutoukours which over the years evolved into the Compagnie de
Production Les Foutoukours that are currently performing their creations to all sorts of audiences. Since 1997,
Remi has been presenting multidisciplinary numbers with shows involving circus, mask, clown, dance,
theater and storytelling across Quebec. Since 2004 he has been blending dance, theater,
humor and circus in his creations. In the past few years Rémi has carved himself a niche in both
the Quebec and international markets for performances. One of the awards Rémi has won was in 2006 at the M.A.P. festival (Trois-Rivières)
where he recieved the people's choice award for his show Point Virgule (theater, circus and dance). He also
received honorable mention in the prix de la culture with the l'Office Jeunesse International du Québec in 2009,
for the show Les clowns de Ménage. A show which mixes circus, dance and clown, and was hugely popular in several cities throughout Mexico.

development as an artist, has developed a personal technique which he teaches in private and group workshops.
