1/18 @ 10am: Now do it backwards
"Now Do It Backwards" takes a theoretical look at some of the standard skills in an aerialist's arsenal (hip key secretary, s-wrap windmill, dive/ salto drop, fallen angel/ 360 drop, and straddle back) and flips them inside out and upside down.
Perfect for the aerialist who loves to perform for other aerialists, these seemingly "backwards" or dynamic wrap variations will be sure to confuse and delight the educated audience.
Saturday, January 18th, 2020 @ 10am-11:30am $45
1/19 @ 6.30pm: 3 minutes in a footlock
We'll use only one footlock for a full choreographed sequence to demonstrate just how much you can get out of one wrap. Appropriate for all levels, be prepared to learn choreography and explore musicality.
Prerequisites: Beginner friendly, comfortable with a footlocker, suggested to have taken at least 2-3 months of aerial classes prior to sign up.
Sunday, January 19th @ 6:30pm-7:30pm $35
1/19 @ 7.30pm: Belay Theory
We'll dive deep into how a belay works, with an exploration of popular (and some unusual) belay entries to illustrate the theory. Aerialists will be encouraged to think conceptually and move away from "trick collecting," emphasizing understanding the mechanics of these interesting wraps. Students will be able to apply this knowledge to every belay wrap they've ever learned.
Prerequisites: Open to all levels with some aerial experience. Ability to think and take instruction mid-air and/or upside down.
Sunday, January 19th @ 7:30pm-8:30pm $35
